Materials Needed

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Ice cubes
  • Soft cloth

Step 1: Freeze the Stain

The first step is to freeze the stain. Place your flip flops with the ink stain facing upwards in the freezer for at least two hours. This will prevent the stain from spreading and make it easier to remove.

Step 2: Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Once stain has frozen, take your flip flops out of freezer and apply rubbing alcohol directly onto the stain. Let the rubbing alcohol sit for several minutes until the stain begins to fade.

Step 3: Scrub the Stained Area

Once rubbing alcohol has worked its magic, take a soft cloth and begin to gently scrub the stained area. Be careful not to rub too hard or you may damage your flip flops. Keep applying rubbing alcohol as needed until the stain is completely gone.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

Once all of the ink is removed, rinse the area with cold water and let your flip flops air dry before wearing them again.

Detail Cleaning and Maintenance

After removing the ink stains, use a mild detergent to give your flip flops a deep clean. This will help to prevent new stains from forming as well as keep your flip flops looking good for longer.
