Detergent Solution

Mix a teaspoon of mild detergent with one litre of warm water. Dip a piece of cloth in the solution, squeeze out excess liquid, and blot stain with the cloth. Continue blotting until the ink begins to fade. Rinse and repeat this process until stain is completely gone.

White Vinegar

Vinegar is a great option for removing stubborn ink stains. Dilute two tablespoons of white vinegar in two cups of cold water and mix well. Dip a sponge into the solution and apply it directly to the stain. Let the solution sit for a few minutes before rinsing off and repeating the process as necessary.

Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol can be used to effectively clean ink stains from most fabrics, including double georgette. Simply saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and dab it over the stain. Blot until the stain starts to disappear and repeat as necessary. Remember to rinse off the area with cold water afterwards.

Lemon Juice

Apply a few drops of lemon juice directly onto the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Blot with a clean cloth and rinse off with cold water. Reapply lemon juice and repeat the process if the stain does not disappear after first try.

Hair Spray

Spray a generous amount of hairspray onto stained surface and let it sit for a few minutes. Blot with a damp cloth and rinse off with cold water. Repeat as necessary until the stain lifts.

Nail Polish Remover

Nail polish remover is a surprisingly effective way to remove ink stains from double georgette fabric. Apply a small amount of nail polish remover to a clean cloth and dab it onto the stain. Repeat until the stain disappears.

Baking Soda

Make a paste by mixing equal parts baking soda and water. Apply the paste directly onto stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Blot the area with a clean cloth and rinse off. Repeat as necessary until the stain disappears.
