Using Dish Soap

Dish soap is truly a grime fighter and a savior when it comes to removing ink stains from cotton seersucker fabric. Begin by diluting a few drops of dish soap in warm water. With a damp cloth, or cotton swab, dab the solution onto the stained area. You should see the ink slowly transfer onto the cloth as you gently scrub the affected area.

Using Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol can help take on more stubborn ink stains. Dab a bit of rubbing alcohol on stain with a cloth or cotton swab and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then, scrub gently and rinse the area with warm water.

Using Vinegar

Vinegar has many cleaning uses, and removing ink from cotton seersucker fabric is one of them. Create a 1:1 ratio of white vinegar and water, and apply the solution directly to stained area with a cloth. Gently scrub spot for a few minutes and then rinse it with warm water.

Using Hairspray

Hairspray can also be effective in removing ink stains from fabric, including cotton seersucker. First, spritz the hairspray directly onto the stained area, making sure to saturate it entirely. Then, rub the fabric with a cloth and rinse the area with warm water. Repeat the process if necessary.

Other Tips

Always check the manufacturer’s instructions on any garment before attempting to remove ink stains from cotton seersucker fabric. As an extra safety measure, test a small patch of the garment with the cleaning solution before applying to the entire stain.
