Before you start trying any cleaning solutions, you should attempt to lift out as much of the stain as possible. Take a clean cloth and gently blot at the stain, working from the outside of the spot towards center. Do not rub, which could cause the ink to spread further.
Now that you've removed as much of the stain as possible, you need to determine which cleaning solution is best for your specific type of cashmere fabric. You can mix together a solution of one teaspoon of dishwashing detergent with one cup of tepid water. Before using it on the stained area, make sure to test the solution on an unseen section of fabric to check for colorfastness.
Using a cotton swab or soft cloth, blot the cleaning solution onto the stained area. Do not soak or rub the fabric as this can cause damage. It's important to work slowly and patiently so that you don't end up spreading the ink further.
Once you've applied the cleaning solution, you need to rinse away remaining stain. Start by running cold water over affected area until cleaner is fully removed. Then dab the fabric dry with a paper towel. Do not wring or twist the fabric, as this could cause the garment to stretch out or become misshapen.
Once the fabric has been rinsed, it's time to dry it. Gently pat the fabric dry with a towel. Avoid any direct heat – such as a hot air dryer or iron – as this could cause permanent damage to the garment. Instead, allow fabric to air dry on a flat surface.
