What You'll Need
- White paper towel
- A mild detergent
- Cotton swab
- Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol)
Instructions
- Carefully remove any excess ink. Make sure not to rub ink stain, as this can push it further into the fabric.
- Apply a small amount of mild detergent to the white paper towel.
- Blot the affected area with the detergent-soaked paper towel. Keep in mind that you don’t want to press down too hard, as this may cause the ink to spread further.
- Continue blotting until the ink starts to lift. Be careful not to rub or scrub the fabric, as this could damage the fibers.
- Now take a cotton swab and dip it in rubbing alcohol.
- Blot the affected area with the cotton swab. Be sure to avoid rubbing the ink any more than necessary.
- Rinse the stained area with cold water and blot dry with a clean towel.
- Hang garment to dry and inspect for lingering stains. If necessary, repeat above steps until satisfied.
