Before you attempt to tackle the stain, you need to soak up as much of ink as possible. Get a paper towel and gently dab at the affected area. Try to avoid scrubbing or rubbing the spot too hard, as it could damage the delicate fabric. Keep blotting until you’ve gotten rid of as much of the ink as possible.
Once you’ve blotted the ink away, you’ll need to use a cleaning solution to get rid of the remaining residue. Pick up a cloth that’s been soaked in a cleaning product like rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, or dish soap. Gently apply the cloth to stained area, making sure not to rub too hard. Keep the cloth in place for a few minutes, then remove it and rinse the bra in cold water.
Now that you’ve applied the cleaning solution, it’s time to put the bra in the washing machine. Put it in a lingerie bag or a pillowcase, then add an appropriate amount of detergent. Select a short or delicate cycle and use cool or cold water. Once the cycle is complete, hang your bra up to air dry.
If stain remains after following the previous steps, you may need to repeat them. You can also try soaking the bra in a mixture of warm water and detergent for 15 minutes before putting it in the wash. If all else fails, you may have to seek professional help from a dry cleaner.
Ink stains can be tricky to remove from bras, but it’s not impossible. Just remember to be gentle when using a cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly when you're done. With some patience and effort, you can restore the stain-free look of your favorite bras.
