When ink stains appear on fabric, it can seem daunting to figure out how to get them out. But with the right method and a little bit of elbow grease, you can remove those unsightly ink stains from your beloved belts in no time.
Mix equal parts vinegar and baking soda in a bowl or container to create a paste-like cleaning solution. Stir the mixture until it become a thick paste. This will be used to help break down the stain and remove it from the material.
Dip a soft cloth into paste and gently rub it onto the stain. Be sure to work paste into the material so that it can do its job. Allow the paste to sit on the stain for at least 30 minutes before proceeding.
Rinse away the paste with warm water, making sure all residue is removed from both sides of belt. If necessary, scrub the area lightly with the soft cloth to remove as much of the stain as possible.
If there is still some residue left after rinsing, treat the area with white toothpaste. Put a small amount of toothpaste directly onto the stain and use the soft cloth to gently rub it in. Wait 10 minutes and then rinse belt thoroughly with warm water.
Place belt on a towel and air dry, or use a hairdryer on a low setting to speed up the drying process. Make sure belt is completely dry before storing or wearing it.
By following these steps, you can easily remove stubborn ink stains from your belts and get them looking brand new again!
