Method 1: Using Rubbing Alcohol and Soap

For this method, you’ll need rubbing alcohol and either liquid dish soap or laundry detergent. Start by mixing two parts rubbing alcohol with one part dish soap or laundry detergent. Dampen your ballet flat with water, then apply the cleaning solution to the affected area. Use a toothbrush or a soft cloth to work the solution into fabric of your shoes. Work in a circular motion for best results.

Once you’ve applied the cleaning solution, use cool water to rinse away the mixture. The ink should start to come away with the solution. Keep brushing the area with a toothbrush until all the ink is gone. Then, use a clean cloth to dry your flats off.

Method 2: Using Nail Polish Remover

If rubbing alcohol didn’t work, try using nail polish remover to remove the ink stain. Start by pouring a small amount of nail polish remover onto a cotton ball. Apply the nail polish remover to stain, but be careful not to saturate the fabric. Gently rub the cotton ball in a circular motion over the stained area.

Once you’ve applied the nail polish remover, use a clean cloth dampened with water to rinse away remover. Repeat this process until all the ink is gone. Finally, use a dry cloth to dry the shoe off.

Conclusion

Getting ink stains out of your ballet flats isn’t as hard as it seems. With the right tools and a little bit of patience, you can have your shoes looking good as new. All you need is some rubbing alcohol, dish soap or laundry detergent, and nail polish remover!
