As soon as you notice the stain, use an absorbent material such as a paper towel to blot away excess hairspray. This will prevent the hairspray from spreading and penetrating even deeper into the fibers of Under Armour gear.
Once you’ve blotted away any excess hairspray, pre-treat the stain with a mild detergent. If the stain is still relatively fresh, you can use lukewarm water and a small squirt of liquid laundry detergent. Work up a light lather, apply it onto the stain, and allow it to sit for 20 minutes.
The next step is to wash the affected garment in hot water (the hottest setting your Under Armour can stand). Make sure to add appropriate amount of laundry detergent before adding the garment to the washer. To finish the job, then tumble dry the garment on low heat.
With these three simple steps, you can remove any pesky hairspray stains from your Under Armour garments in no time. It’s always best to attend to a stain as soon as possible, so if you see a hairspray mishap happening, don’t hesitate to start the cleaning process right away!
