What You Need
- White vinegar
- Borax
- Warm water
- Soap
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Create a mixture of warm water, soap and white vinegar. One cup of each should suffice.
- Soak the stain in the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse the stain with cold water.
- Mix one cup of borax with one cup of warm water and apply the mixture to the stain.
- Leave for 15 minutes then rinse with cold water.
- Allow fabric to air dry.
Tips & Tricks
- When washing tussah, use mild detergent and low temperatures. This will prevent shrinkage and other damage.
- Before applying any mixture to tussah, make sure to pre-test it on an inconspicuous patch of fabric first.
- For tougher stains, consider using a specialized tussah detergent.
