To start tackling the stains, fill a sink with hot water and put the tights in it until they're completely submerged. This will help loosen up hairspray and make it easier to clean.
Put a few drops of laundry detergent in the hot water, and let the tights soak in it for about 10 minutes. The detergent will help break down the hairspray.
After the tights have finished soaking, remove them from the hot water and run them under cold water. Make sure to keep rubbing the stained areas while doing this, as this will help remove more of the hairspray.
If the stains are still visible after Step 3, grab a toothbrush and rub the affected areas with it. Again, make sure to use only cold water for this step.
Once the stains are gone, place tights in your washing machine with a load of clothes. Set the machine to a delicate cycle and use cold water to wash tights. Be sure not to use any fabric softener or bleach, as these can cause further damage.
By following these five simple steps, you can easily remove those pesky hairspray stains from your tights. Remember to keep rubbing and scrubbing the stained areas while cleaning, and always use cold water when dealing with stains.
