Before starting the cleaning process, make sure you have everything you need within reach. You will need a laundry detergent (preferably one that is designed for delicate fabrics), liquid dish soap, white vinegar, a toothbrush, a clean cloth, and a small container.
Mix a few drops of liquid dish soap and a teaspoon of white vinegar in the small container. Then, using toothbrush, gently rub the mixture directly onto the stain. Allow it to sit for several minutes while mixture works its magic.
Rinse off the pre-treatment with cold water, ensuring that all of the soap and vinegar has been removed. Then, put your sock in the washing machine with a gentle detergent. Wash on the lowest heat setting possible.
After the wash cycle is complete, remove the sock and lay it flat on a clean cloth. Allow it to air dry overnight before putting it away.
And there you have it - four simple steps to eliminate stubborn hairspray stains from your socks. Just follow the above advice and you’ll be able to keep your socks looking good as new.
