Hairspray stains can be annoying and frustrating, especially when they end up on your favourite sleep shirt. However, there are certain methods you can try to remove them. Here's what you need to do:
The first step is to soak the stain in a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water for up to 30 minutes. This will help loosen hairspray and make it easier to remove.
After soaking the shirt in the vinegar solution, take a soft-bristled brush and gently scrub the stain. This will help to further break up the hairspray and remove it from the fabric.
Once you've finished scrubbing the stain, put the shirt into washing machine and set it to a normal cycle. Make sure to use the right detergent for the fabric type and avoid using hot water. Once cycle is complete, take the shirt out and let it air dry.
If some of the hairspray remains after the first wash cycle, you can repeat above steps as necessary. However, it's best to use a mild detergent instead of vinegar this time around to avoid damaging the fabric any further.
Getting hairspray stains out of sleep shirts may seem like a difficult task, but it doesn't have to be! Just follow the steps outlined above, and you should be able to get the stain out in no time.
