If the hairspray stain is still wet, gently blot away the excess liquid with a dry cloth or paper towel before beginning the cleaning process.
Put some laundry detergent directly onto the hairspray stain and let it sit for a few minutes before continuing.
Mix one part white vinegar and two parts cold water in a spray bottle, then spritz it onto the stain. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes before moving on.
Next, rub a small amount of soap onto stain using a damp cloth. If you are using a bar soap, make sure it has been dissolved in water before applying. Once finished, rinse the area with cold water.
Create a solution of 1 tablespoon of laundry detergent per one quart of cool water. Submerge the stained area and let it soak for at least an hour before throwing into the washing machine.
