Step 1: Blot Up Any Excess Hairspray

As soon as the hairspray splashes onto the skirt, take a paper towel and blot up any remaining liquid. This prevents the hairspray from spreading and sinking deeper into the fabric.

Step 2: Dab Rubbing Alcohol onto the Stain

Once you've blotted up any excess hairspray, pour rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth and gently dab at the stained area. Continue dabbing until you no longer see the stain. If the stain persists, you may need to repeat this step.

Step 3: Rinse with Water

After you have applied the rubbing alcohol, rinse the affected area with cold water. Allow the skirt to air dry or use a blow dryer set on a low setting.

Step 4: Apply a Stain Remover

Mix a solution of equal parts laundry detergent and warm water. Use a clean cloth to rub mixture into the stained area. Let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with cold water and allowing skirt to air dry.
