Simple Tips to Remove Hairspray Stains from Shorts Quickly

Accidents happen. You may accidentally spill hair spray on your shorts, leaving you with an unsightly stain. Fortunately, some simple household ingredients can help you remove the stain quickly and easily.

Instructions

1. Blot up as much of the hair spray as you can with a cloth.
2. Mix one cup of water and one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent in a bowl. Stir well.
3. Soak a clean cloth in mixture and apply it to the stain.
4. Using a circular motion, gently rub the stain with the cloth until the stain begins to lift.
5. Rinse the area with warm water to remove any remaining residue.
6. Place the shorts in washing machine and launder as usual.
7. Tumble dry as usual.

Additional Tips

• If the stain is still present after laundering, repeat steps 2-6.
• For heavier or set in stains, try soaking shorts in a mixture of 1 cup of warm water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar for 30 minutes before laundering.
• If the stain persists, consider taking the shorts to a professional cleaner as commercial solvents may be needed to remove the stain.
