Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stain

To prepare stain for removal, mix one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid with two cups of warm water. Using an old toothbrush or cotton swab, apply some of the solution directly to stain, then let it soak for around ten minutes. Once solution has had time to do its job, rinse off the area completely with cold water.

Step 2: Use a Laundry Stain Remover

Once you have pre-treated the stain, apply a laundry stain remover to spot. Allow the product to sit on area for at least five minutes before laundering as usual. Depending on the stain remover you use, you may want to check instructions on package for additional tips or recommendations.

Step 3: Air Dry the Robe

When the laundering process is complete, carefully inspect the robe for remaining hairspray stains. If any discoloration remains, use a little more laundry stain remover and repeat steps two and three. Once you are satisfied with the results, hang the robe to air-dry, avoiding direct heat from a hairdryer, iron, or other heat source.
