Mix equal parts mild liquid detergent and white wine vinegar (or vinegar of your choice) in a bowl or spray bottle, depending on what works best for you. Make sure to prepare enough of the solution to cover the entire stain.
Take your cleaning solution and apply it directly to the stain. Let solution sit on the stain for 10 minutes then use a damp cloth to scrub area gently in a circular motion.
Once you’ve finished scrubbing, wet a clean cloth with cold water. Use this cloth to rinse area you just cleaned and make sure the cleaning solution is completely removed.
Use a dry cloth to gently blot the area you just cleaned. Be sure not to rub or scrub the area or you may make the stain worse. Keep blotting until the area is as dry as possible.
If the stain is still visible after you’ve finished cleaning it, try treating it with a specific stain remover for hairspray stains. Follow the directions on the stain remover and let the product sit on stain for 5-10 minutes before rinsing it off.
