Step 1: Vacuum Out the Pet Bed

Before you start any other cleaning process, you'll need to remove as much of the hairspray as possible. Use a vacuum cleaner to gently suck out excess hairspray from the pet bed. This will make the next steps easier.

Step 2: Blotting

Mix one tablespoon of liquid detergent in a bucket filled with lukewarm water and stir until the detergent has been dissolved. Dip a white cloth or sponge into the solution and begin blotting the hairspray stain. Continue doing this until all of the hairspray has been removed.

Step 3: Rinsing

Once you've finished blotting the affected area, rinse out the detergent solution with a wet cloth. Make sure you don't rub the cloth over the stain, as this may cause further damage.

Step 4: Drying

After you've finished rinsing out the detergent solution, use a dry cloth to dab up any excess moisture. Allow the area to air dry completely before putting anything back on the bed.

Conclusion

Depending on the severity of the stain, cleaning process may need to be repeated. Keep in mind that if the hairspray stain has been there for a while, professional cleaning may be needed in order to properly remove the stain.
