Steps to Remove Hairspray Stains
- Mix a solution of cool water and detergent with an enzyme-based laundry enhancer specifically for stain removal. Make sure it does not contain bleach as this can cause irreversible damage to the fabric.
- Soak a clean cloth in the mixture and carefully rub stained area of the Oxford fabric.
- Once all of the excess stain has been rubbed off, rinse the area using cool water.
- If any of the stain remains, mix a bowl of cool water, white vinegar and Borax. Soak a new clean cloth and gently rub the stained area with the solution.
- Once all of the excess stain has been removed, rinse area with cool water again.
- Launder the Oxford fabric as normal or follow any specific instructions indicated on the garment’s label.
