It's not uncommon for hairspray stains to end up on grass, but luckily you can do something about it. The best way to remove them is with these simple steps.
Using a mixture of water and dishwashing liquid, pre-treat the area with the stain. This helps to loosen up the hairspray so it can be more easily removed.
Using your scrub brush, scrub stain with the water/dishwashing liquid mixture. Make sure to really rub it in so that it can get down into the grass. If it doesn't come out with this step, you may need to use one of the following methods.
If the stain is still there after pre-treating and scrubbing it, you may need to go to one of the following methods. To use vinegar, mix equal parts vinegar and water and pour it onto the stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes before scrubbing it again. To use baking soda, pour a generous amount of baking soda onto stain and let it sit for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes is up, take your scrub brush and scrub the area until the stain is gone.
Once all of the hairspray has been removed, rinse the area with water from a container. This will help to remove any residue from the detergent or vinegar/baking soda that was used.
After rinsing the area, pat it dry with a towel. This will help to minimize any damage that may have been done to the grass.
By following these steps, you should be able to easily remove hairspray stains from your lawn. It's important to always take the time to pre-treat and scrub the stain, as well as use vinegar or baking soda if needed. Additionally, make sure to rinse and dry the area after the stain has been removed.
