Removing hairspray stains from guipure lace is no mean feat. The delicate material can be easily damaged by wrong spot-cleaning methods, so you have to be extra careful. Here's the right way to do it:

  1. The most important step is to make sure that the hairspray is dry before attempting any cleaning. If the hairspray is still wet, dab area with an absorbent paper towel to soak up as much as you can.
  2. Once the area is dry, lightly brush off any residue from surface of fabric using a soft cloth or brush.
  3. Mix one tablespoon each of liquid laundry detergent and white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Dip a fresh cloth into the solution and wring it out until it is only damp. Then, carefully dab the stained area with the damp cloth.
  4. Next, rinse the fabric thoroughly to remove the cleaning solution. To ensure that all residue has been removed, rinse with cold water while blotting the lace fabric with a clean cloth.
  5. Now, blot the fabric dry with an absorbent cloth. Be sure not to rub the fabric as this may cause damage. When the stain is completely gone, hang your guipure lace fabric out to dry.

That's how easy it is to get rid of those unsightly hairspray stains on your guipure lace fabric! Just remember to be extra gentle when cleaning and you'll have your beloved lace fabric looking like new in no time.
