Before you start treating the stain, you need to first stop it from getting any worse. Blot the area with a cloth or paper towel; try to remove as much excess hairspray as possible. Don't rub or scrub the stain; this will only spread it around and make it harder to remove.
Mix some warm water with a little bit of liquid detergent and dishwashing soap in a container or bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the solution, then use it to gently scrub the hairspray stain. It should start to break down the hairspray residue so it can be easily wiped away. Rinse cloth and reapply more solution if necessary.
If the hairspray stain is proving to be stubborn, you may want to reach for a stain remover. Spray the product directly onto stain and let it soak for a few minutes. Then, use a cloth or brush to scrub away remains of the stain.
Once stain is gone, rinse the garment in cold water and let it air dry. If the stain was particularly tough, you may want to spot-wash the area with detergent before letting it air dry.
