Before you start cleaning, you will need some supplies. You will need a toothbrush, warm water, mild detergent, a clean cloth and a dry cloth.
Using the toothbrush, delicately brush away at the hairspray stain. This will help work the hairspray out of the fibers in the fabric. Be careful not to scrub too hard as this could cause damage to the fabric itself.
Next, apply some warm water and mild detergent directly onto the stain. Gently rub the detergent into the fibers using your fingertips. Let the detergent sit on the stain for several minutes to give it time to dissolve the hairspray residue.
Once you have given the detergent enough time to work its magic, rinse detergent and hairspray residue off the fabric using clean cloth. Finally, dab the area dry with a dry cloth.
If necessary, repeat the above steps until the stain is gone. It may take more than one go to remove the stain, so persevere with patience until the desired result is achieved.
