Gather the Supplies

Before beginning, you need to make sure that you have all necessary cleaning supplies on hand. You will need a small bucket or bowl, warm water, liquid dish soap, white vinegar, and a soft cloth or sponge. In addition, if the stain is particularly stubborn, you may want to include a small amount of bleach in the mixture.

Mix Your Cleaning Solution

Once you have gathered your supplies, you can mix the cleaning solution. Fill your bucket or bowl with the warm water and add a few drops of the liquid dish soap, about half a cup of the white vinegar, and a small amount of bleach, if desired. Mix ingredients until they are thoroughly combined.

Dip and Soak the Fabric

Dip the fabric into the cleaning solution and let it soak for at least 15 minutes. For best results, you should let it soak for no more than an hour.

Scrub the Stain

Once fabric has had time to soak, take it out of the solution and gently scrub the stain with a soft cloth or sponge. If the stain is still visible, repeat the soaking and scrubbing process until the stain is gone.

Wash as Normal

Once you have removed the stain, wash the fabric as usual. Make sure that you dry the fabric thoroughly, as the residual moisture in the fabric may cause mildew or mold to form.
