Removing Hairspray From Corduroy in Three Easy Steps

  1. Mix one cup of warm water, one tablespoon of laundry detergent, and one tablespoon of white vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and lightly blot stain.
  3. Rinse with cold, clean water and let air dry.

Using Rubbing Alcohol

Using a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol may be a great way to remove hairspray from corduroy fabric. Simply dip the cloth into rubbing alcohol and rub the stained area gently until hairspray residue is gone. If the stain persists after repeated attempts, try spot-treating the area with a few drops of the rubbing alcohol.

Using WD-40

For tougher hairspray stains, try using WD-40. Before settling for this method, make sure to test it on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first. After testing the area, spray a few sprays of WD-40 onto hairspray stain and let it sit for around 10 minutes. Using a clean cloth, rub the area and repeat the process if necessary. Finally, take the WD-40 and a clean cloth and wipe away excess.
