- Mix one teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with two cups of warm water. Agitate the mixture until it forms a light foam.
- Gently rub the stained area of your dress with a soft cloth or brush. Do not rub harshly.
- Place the cloth or brush into foamy water and rub gently. Make sure to rinse the cloth or brush often.
- After all of the hairspray is gone, use a clean damp towel to blot the area.
- Allow dress to air-dry completely. Do not put the garment in the dryer; doing so may set stain.
If you're still having trouble getting rid of the stain, try using a commercial stain remover. Follow the directions on package for best results.
