Removing Hairspray Stains
- Start by mixing a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar. Not only is vinegar a natural deodorizer, it also has powerful stain-fighting properties.
- Soak the stain in this solution for at least 30 minutes. This will remove the bulk of the hairspray residue.
- After the solution has had a chance to work, rinse the remaining solution off the cardigan with cold water.
- Now you’re ready to apply some stain remover to area, such as a detergent specifically formulated for cleaning delicate fabrics.
- Leave the remover to sit for 5 minutes, then blot the area with a clean cloth to remove as much of the remover and the remaining hairspray stains as possible.
- Finally, rinse the area with cold water again to remove any trace of the product. You should now have a stain-free cardigan!
