Solution 1: Washing Your Clothing

The most simple method for getting rid of hairspray stains from Ann Taylor clothing is to wash them. For best results, always use cold water and no more than a mild detergent.

  1. Begin by dabbing the stained area with a damp cloth or sponge. Never rub material as it could spread the stain further.
  2. Soak the garment in cold water for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Apply a pre-wash laundry stain remover and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Wash the garment on its own in the washing machine.
  5. Check the garment before drying it. If the stain is still visible, repeat the steps above.

Solution 2: Applying Rubbing Alcohol

This method is recommended for clothing that cannot be washed.

  1. Dab the hairspray stain with a clean cloth.
  2. Put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and carefully dab the stain.
  3. Continue dabbing until stain is gone.
  4. Pat the fabric dry with a clean cloth.
  5. If the stain persists, repeat the steps until it disappears.

Solution 3: Removing Hairspray with Lemon Juice

This method is recommended for lighter fabrics such as silk and satin.

  1. Moisten a clean cloth with lemon juice.
  2. Carefully dab the fabric with lemon juice-moistened cloth.
  3. Continue dabbing until the stain is gone.
  4. Rinse the fabric with cold water.
  5. Pat the fabric dry with a clean cloth.
