Step 1: Blot Stain

The most important part about removing grease and oil stains from your underwear is to act quickly. Start by blotting the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel to try and remove as much of the liquid as possible.

Step 2: Mix Detergent with Hot Water

Next, take a bowl and fill it with hot water. Add a small amount of regular laundry detergent and mix it into the water. Place your stained underwear into the bowl and let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or overnight if the stain is particularly stubborn.

Step 3: Use a Stain Remover

If the stain isn't completely removed after soaking in detergent and water mixture, you can try using a commercial stain remover. Follow the instructions on the label and make sure to check the garment for colorfastness before use.

Step 4: Wash in the Washing Machine

After the stain has been removed, you can wash the garment in your washing machine. Use hot water and regular laundry detergent, and set the machine to a normal cycle. Do not add any fabric softener to the cycle, as this may cause the stain to set in permanently.

Step 5: Air-Dry

Once the laundry cycle has finished, air-dry your underwear. Make sure to avoid using dryer, as the heat from the dryer may cause the stain to set in.

Conclusion

Removing grease and oil stains from undies isn't as hard as it seems. With a little bit of patience and practice, you can have your favorite pair of underwear looking as good as new in no time!
