Steps for Removing Grease and Oil Stains from Tussah
Tussah can be difficult to clean, so you want to make sure you don't damage the fabric while trying to remove the stains. Here are the steps for getting rid of stubborn grease and oil stains.
- Start off by blotting the stain with a paper towel or cloth to absorb as much of the grease and oil as possible.
- Mix some dish soap with warm water and apply it to the stained area. Gently massage the mixture into fabric.
- Rinse soapy mixture away with a damp cloth.
- If the stain is still visible, repeat above steps until it disappears completely.
- Apply a pre-wash stain remover to affected area and let it sit for 30 minutes before washing in cold water.
- To finish off, dry the fabric on a low setting on a clothes dryer.
