The first step to getting rid of a grease or oil stain is to make sure that it's completely removed from the fabric. Use a vacuum cleaner to gently remove any debris or dirt that may have gotten stuck in fabric. Make sure to move slowly so that you don't damage the fabric.
Once you've vacuumed the stain, use a liquid detergent to pre-treat it. Start by saturating the stain with detergent and let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes. This will help break down the oil and make it easier to remove.
After the pre-treatment, it's time to scrub stain with a brush. Use a soft bristled brush and work it in a circular motion. This will help loosen up the oil and make it easier to remove.
Once you've finished scrubbing the stain, use white cotton towels to blot it up. Start by pressing the towel on the stain and then gradually working your way outwards. Repeat this process until the stain is gone.
If the stain is still visible after you've blotted it up, use white paper towels to soak it up. Place the paper towel directly on the stain and press down firmly. Change the paper towels as needed until the stain is completely gone.
For stubborn stains, use a dry cleaning solvent to break them down. Apply the solvent to a white cloth and dab it onto the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes and then blot it up with a clean cloth. Repeat this process until the stain is completely gone.
