What You'll Need:
- Dish soap
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Borax
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Fine-bristled brush
- White towels
Step by Step Cleaning Instructions:
- Start by wetting the stained area with cold water.
- Squirt a small amount of dish soap onto the stain and rub gently with your fingers.
- Rinse stain with cold water and let it air dry.
- If stain is still visible, make a paste of equal parts white vinegar and baking soda. Apply the paste to the stain, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of borax and 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Dip your brush into the mixture, and use it to gently scrub the stained area.
- Rinse the stained area with cold water and let it air dry.
- If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 4 - 6 until stain is gone.
Additional Tips
- Always test the cleaning solution on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first to make sure it won't damage the fabric.
- Always blot the stain, never rub.
- Never use hot water, as this can set the stain.
