Materials Needed

Instructions
- Before treating, take your silk dupioni to the dry cleaner for inspection. If the item isn’t colorfast, it likely can’t be cleaned.
- Blot the stain with a damp white cloth to remove as much excess oil as possible.
- When as much of the oil as possible has been removed, cover the area with white paper towels.
- Sponge the back side of the stain with a dry-cleaning solvent. Be sure to use a gentle blotting motion, rather than rubbing.
- Continue blotting with another dry paper towel to remove any remaining solvent.
- If the stain still remains, add a drop of liquid dish soap to a white cloth and again use a blotting motion to treat the stain.
- Rinse the area with warm water and leave to air dry.
