Grease and oil stains can be a nightmare to get rid of, especially if they have been on the fabric for a while. But that doesn't mean they cannot be taken care of. Here are some tips and tricks which can help you get rid of the stubborn stains from your scrubs:

  • Pretreat : Pretreating the stained area with a spot cleaner or an enzyme cleaner is an effective way of loosening up the grease and oil stains. After pretreating the area, let it sit for some time to allow the solution to work on the stain.
  • Machine Wash : Now that you've pretreated the stained area, it's time to put your scrubs in the washing machine. Make sure to set temperature to cold and use a detergent with oxygen bleach. This will help to break down the grease and oil and make it easier for you to take out the stain.
  • Vinegar Solution : If the stain is still there after washing, you can try soaking the fabric in a mixture of vinegar and warm water for about 15 minutes. When the fabric has been soaked for 15 minutes, rinse it off with cold water and you should see the stain fading away.
  • Baking Soda and Detergent : Another method of removing a stubborn grease and oil stain is by mixing a solution of detergent, baking soda and warm water. Apply the solution to the stained area and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before washing it off with cold water.
  • Olive Oil : Believe it or not, olive oil can be quite effective in getting rid of grease and oil stains from scrubs. Apply some olive oil to stained area and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then wash it off with cold water. The grease and oil should come off easily.

These tips should help you get rid of the grease and oil stains from your scrubs in no time. Do keep in mind that it’s always better to tackle the stain as soon as possible. If left untreated for a long time, the stain might become permanent. So make sure you take out the stains when you first notice them.
