What You’ll Need
- Sponge or cloth
- Dish soap
- Bowl
- Old toothbrush
- Nylon bristle brush (optional)
Instructions
- Test a hidden area of your shoe for colorfastness by applying a few drops of cleaning solution. If discoloration occurs, do not use this method for further cleaning.
- Mix a solution with one-part dish soap and three-parts warm water in a bowl.
- Dip a sponge into the solution and gently scrub the outside of the shoe.
- Dampen an old toothbrush with the solution and scrub away tough grease and oil stains. For tougher stains, use a nylon bristle brush.
- Rinse the outside of the shoe with cold water and inspect for any remaining stains.
- Allow the shoes to air dry completely before wearing.

- Use a damp cloth to remove excess soap residue after cleaning.
