As soon as you notice the grease or oil stain on your pullover, apply a stain remover for greasy stains onto the affected area. Wait a few minutes before moving on to the next step.
Spray white vinegar onto the stained area and wait a few minutes. Vinegar is a natural cleaner and sanitizer, so it will help to break up the grease or oil. For tougher stains, you might need to repeat this step multiple times.
Using a soft brush, gently rub the stained area and try to remove as much of grease and oil as possible. You can also use a mixture of baking soda and dishwashing liquid for additional cleaning power.
Once you have removed as much of the grease and oil as possible, rinse pullover in warm water. Be sure to use a mild detergent or shampoo on the stained area if any remains.
Allow the pullover to air dry and then launder as usual. If any stains remain, repeat Steps 2-5 until stain has been completely removed.
After laundering, add a few drops of olive oil or baby oil to the stained area and allow it to sit overnight. When you wake up in morning, wash the pullover as usual and the stain should be gone.
