Here’s What You Need to Clean Grease and Oil Stains from Piqué:
- Liquid dish soap
- A basin of warm water
- An old toothbrush
The Steps
- Fill a sink or basin with warm water (not hot!) and add 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap.
- Gently submerge stained area of your clothing item into the soapy water.
- Using an old toothbrush, scrub the stained fabric lightly, being careful not to damage the delicate fiber of the pique material.
- Leave the fabric submerged in the soapy water for at least 10 minutes.
- Rinse the clothing item in cold running water.
- Check for any remaining stains – if there are, repeat steps 2-5 until stain is gone.
- Lay the fabric flat on a dry towel and allow it to air dry out of direct sunlight.
