Whether it's a classic polo shirt, a comfortable t-shirt, or a chic mini dress, no one likes the sight of an oil or grease stain on their clothes. Unfortunately, most of us have had to deal with this issue at one point or another. But, don't worry – there is a fast and easy way to get rid of the pesky oil staining on your pique fabric.

Here’s What You Need to Clean Grease and Oil Stains from Piqué:

  • Liquid dish soap
  • A basin of warm water
  • An old toothbrush

The Steps

  1. Fill a sink or basin with warm water (not hot!) and add 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap.
  2. Gently submerge stained area of your clothing item into the soapy water.
  3. Using an old toothbrush, scrub the stained fabric lightly, being careful not to damage the delicate fiber of the pique material.
  4. Leave the fabric submerged in the soapy water for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Rinse the clothing item in cold running water.
  6. Check for any remaining stains – if there are, repeat steps 2-5 until stain is gone.
  7. Lay the fabric flat on a dry towel and allow it to air dry out of direct sunlight.

With this simple method, you can easily get rid of stubborn stains on your favorite items of clothing in just a few minutes.
