Whether it's grease splashed at the garage or oil spilled while cooking, getting rid of these pesky stains can be quite a challenge.
Here are a few simple steps to help you get rid of grease and oil stains from your pants:
- Start by scraping off as much of the excess grease or oil as possible using a butter knife or the edge of an old credit card. Do not rub the stain vigorously, as this may spread the stain further.
- Apply a small amount of laundry detergent or degreasing cleaner directly onto the stain. Rub it into the fabric gently, then let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, run the stained area under cold water while rubbing it gently with your fingers. You may need to repeat the process several times if stain is still visible.
- Once the stain is gone, machine wash the garment as per the instructions on the care label. Make sure to use the appropriate temperature setting for the fabric type.
- If the stain still remains after washing, repeat the process and apply a pre-treatment product before laundering.
These steps should help you remove those stubborn grease and oil stains from your pants with ease!
