When you invest in Michael Kors, you’re investing in quality and timelessness. While this designer clothing is known for its longevity, that doesn’t mean it’s indestructible. Grease or oil stains can still occur, especially with the ever-changing fashion trends. Follow these steps to get your Michael Kors looking perfect again.

Step 1: Blot the Excess Grease

Before you do anything else, make sure to blot the remaining excess grease on the fabric. This will help to keep it from spreading further onto the material. Use a clean, dry cloth or paper towels to remove as much of the stain as possible.

Step 2: Launder the Item

The next step is to launder the item. Start by setting your washing machine to the gentlest cycle, and use warm water to start. Add a small amount of laundry detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics, like a baby detergent, and place item into the washing machine. Allow the machine to complete the cycle, and then check the stain to make sure it’s gone.

Step 3: Spot Clean the Stain

If the stain is still visible, you’ll need to do a spot cleaning. Start by mixing a small amount of detergent with a cup of warm water. Dip a clean cloth in the mixture and gently dab the fabric where stain is located. Move the cloth in a circular motion to help lift stain. Once the stain has been lifted, run the spot under cold water to rinse off the detergent.

Step 4: Wipe Area With Rubbing Alcohol

To help further remove the stain, you should use rubbing alcohol. First, test the rubbing alcohol on a small corner of the fabric that’s not visible. This will help to ensure that the alcohol won’t discolor the fabric. If there’s no discoloration, then proceed with wiping the area with the rubbing alcohol.

Step 5: Rinse the Area With Cold Water

Once the rubbing alcohol has been applied, it’s time to rinse the area with cold water. This will help to remove any residue from the rubbing alcohol. After rinsing, take a clean cloth and dab the area of liquid until it’s dry.

Step 6: Hang To Dry

The last step is to hang your Michael Kors item to dry. Make sure to hang the item someplace where it won’t become wrinkled or creased. Now your garment should look like brand new!
