Using a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the stained area, gently rub the spot until the stain starts to break down. Be sure not to use too much rubbing alcohol, as it can damage delicate fibers of lace fabric.
Using a tub of hot, soapy water, submerge stained area in the tub and allow it to soak for around five minutes. During this time, the hot, soapy water will help to break down the grease and oil stain.
Using a soft-bristled brush, gently scrub the stained area until stain is removed. Be sure not to use too much pressure, as this could damage the delicate fabric.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse area with cold water to remove any remaining soap residue. Place the lace fabric on a flat surface and allow it to air-dry.
If the stain still remains after the previous steps, create a solution of equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Using a soft cloth, gently scrub stained area with the vinegar solution. Allow the vinegar solution to sit on the stain for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water.
If stain is still present, take a small amount of laundry detergent and mix it with a few drops of warm water. Gently dab a damp cloth into the detergent mixture and carefully scrub stained area. Rinse the area with cold water and air-dry.
If the stain persists after the previous steps, repeat cleaning process until the stain is removed.
