Removing Grease & Oil Stains from Your Work Gloves Easily
If you use work gloves in a setting where they come into contact with grease or oil, you know how frustrating it can be to keep them looking like new. But, don’t worry - it's relatively easy to remove stubborn grease and oil stains from work gloves if you know the right steps.

Instructions
- Mix one part liquid laundry detergent with three parts warm water in a large bowl or sink.
- Wet your gloves completely in water and detergent mixture.
- Rub the gloves together to create a lather, focusing on areas with grease and oil stains.
- Allow the detergent mixture to sit on the gloves for five minutes.
- Rinse the gloves and then place them in your washing machine on the normal cycle with a regular detergent.
- Wait for washing cycle to finish and check your gloves to see if stains are gone.
- If the stains remain, add 1/2 cup of white or apple cider vinegar to the drum of the washer and then run the machine through a second cycle.
- Hang your gloves to air dry or place them in dryer on lowest possible setting.
Tips
- Spot test any products on the gloves before using them to make sure they won’t cause discoloration or damage.
- Allow the gloves to soak overnight in a mixture of 1/4 cup baking soda and one quart hot water for tough stains.
- If your gloves are made of cotton or other natural fibers, scrub the stained areas with an old toothbrush for extra stain removal.
