Remove Stains Before Washing

Before washing your espadrilles, it’s important to remove any surface stains. This is done by blotting some rubbing alcohol onto a cloth and gently dabbing away at the stain. The rubbing alcohol will help break down the oils, making it easier to remove from the surface of the shoe. This process may need to be repeated several times before the stain is completely gone.

Wash Gently with Soap and Water

Once the surface stains are removed, the next step is to wash the espadrilles with some mild soap and warm water. Being a delicate fabric, it is important to not scrub too hard or use abrasive cleaning materials. Simply use a soft cloth or brush and move in a circular motion to work up some suds. The water should not be too hot, as this can damage the fabric.

Air Dry Completely

Once the shoes have been washed and all the excess water has been removed, it is important to allow them to air dry completely. You can do this by setting them on a flat surface, such as a countertop or table, away from direct sunlight. This will ensure that the fabric does not stretch out or become discolored.
