  • Warm water
  • White vinegar
  • A sponge or brush

How to Clean Grease and Oil Stains from Draperies and Curtains

  1. Start by blotting the area with a clean, dry cloth to absorb as much of the grease or oil as possible.
  2. Mix a few drops of dish detergent in warm water, and use it to scrub the area gently with a clean cloth or a sponge.
  3. If the stain persists, apply a mixture of two parts white vinegar and one part water over the stained area.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Wipe away mixture with a clean, damp cloth.
  6. Finally, rinse the area thoroughly with warm water and allow it to air dry.
