What You Need
- Dishwashing liquid
- White vinegar
- Borax powder
- Soft cloth
- Cream of tartar
- Salt
Instructions
- Scrape off as much of grease and oil as possible with a blunt knife or spoon.
- Mix one part dishwashing liquid with two parts water in a bowl.
- Gently rub the mixture into the area with a soft cloth, being sure not to rub too hard.
- Rinse the area with warm water and blot it with a clean cloth to remove any excess soap.
- Mix one part white vinegar with two parts water and apply the solution to stain. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Rinse the area with warm water and blot it again with a dry cloth to absorb vinegar solution.
- Mix equal parts borax powder and cream of tartar with a teaspoon of salt. Apply the mixture to the stain and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Rinse the area with warm water and blot it dry with a clean cloth.
