Before beginning, make sure you set aside a few essential items you'll need to remove the stain. These include: dish soap, a white cloth, salt, baking soda, and white vinegar.
Start by dabbing the affected area with your white cloth. This will help to absorb any excess grease or oil. Then, take some dish soap and gently rub it into the fabric. Let the soapy solution sit for about 15 minutes before proceeding.
Now you're ready to mix up a cleaning solution. Start by combining equal parts white vinegar and salt in a bowl. The acidic nature of the vinegar will help to break down the stain, while the salt helps to scrub it away.
Using a damp cloth, apply the solution directly to the stain. Rub affected area firmly, then let it sit for another 15 minutes. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you can also add a bit of baking soda to mixture.
Once you've allowed the solution to work its magic, it's time to rinse the fabric with cool water and pat it dry. To ensure all of the grease and oil has been removed, rub the affected area with a clean white cloth.
With a bit of effort and right supplies, you can easily get rid of pesky grease and oil stains from your chinos. Enjoy!
