What You'll Need

  • Cup of talcum powder
  • Sponge
  • White absorbent cloth
  • Dry cleaning solvent

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle talcum powder on the greasy or oily stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Carefully brush powder away with a sponge.
  3. Using a white absorbent cloth, dab area gently with a dry cleaning solvent.
  4. Once the solvent has completely dried, brush away any leftover powder.

Additional Tips

  • Always test the cleaning solution on a small, hidden area before using it on the entire piece of fabric.
  • Be sure to read and follow the instructions on label of the cleaning product.
