The first step in cleaning grease and oil stains from boots is to remove any excess dirt or stain. To do this, use a clean cloth to gently dab away grease or oil. Make sure not to rub or scrub the material too hard as this can damage the fabric or finish of the boots.
Once excess grease or oil is gone, it's time to apply a cleaning solution. The best way to do this is to mix a solution of equal parts vinegar and water. For tougher stains, a stronger solution can be used. Simply mix one part vinegar with two parts water and gently apply it to the stained area. Using a damp cloth, work solution into stain and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes before wiping away.
Once stain has been removed, it's time to do a spot clean. Using a wet cloth and a small amount of mild detergent, gently scrub stained area and rinse away the soap with a clean cloth.
Finally, to ensure your boots are clean and free of any dirt or stain, use a damp cloth to wipe down the entire surface of the boots. Allow them to air dry before wearing again.
Removing grease or oil stains from boots doesn't have to be a daunting task. With the right steps and a bit of patience, you'll be able to get your boots looking like new in no time!
