Step 1: Pre-Treat with Laundry Detergent
Start by pre-treating the stains with laundry detergent. Apply enough detergent to areas with grease and oil stains and rub it in gently to break up the stain. Let it sit for 5-15 minutes before rinsing out the soap with warm water.
Step 2: Apply Spot Cleaner
Once area is pre-treated, use a spot cleaner specifically designed for removing greasy and oily stains. Follow instructions on the packaging and apply the cleaner directly to the stained area. Rub it in gently and then allow it to sit for the recommended amount of time.
Step 3: Rinse and Air Dry
When spot cleaner has had a chance to set in, rinse the board shorts with warm water. Gently rub the area to help lift the stain then lay the board shorts flat on a towel to air dry.
