If you’ve just noticed a grease or oil stain on your blouse, the first thing you should do is blot it with an absorbent cloth or paper towel. This will help to absorb some of the stain. Don’t rub the stain, as this can cause it to spread and become more difficult to remove.
Once you’ve blotted up as much of the grease or oil as possible, sprinkle Borax onto the stained area. The Borax will help break down grease, making it easier to remove. Let the Borax sit for about 15 minutes before scrubbing it into the stain with a wet, soapy cloth.
After you’ve scrubbed, rinse the area with cold water and repeat the process until the stain is gone. If it still persist, pour some undiluted white vinegar on the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing again. You may also want to try applying some olive oil or vegetable shortening to the stain and then gently rubbing it into fabric with a cloth.
Once stain is gone, soak the blouse in a bucket of cold water and laundry detergent mixed according to package instructions. Let the blouse soak for at least an hour, then launder as usual.
